History – Rich in Heritage.
For the past 100 years the site was the home of the Gosford Horticultural Institute and there are over 50 existing structures and buildings, including greenhouses, outbuilding and workshops that are prefect for food production and cottage industries. There are residential dwellings, offices and other buildings ideally suited for community facilities. Some of the buildings and trees are heritage listed providing further interest on the site, and of course before this the land had a rich indigenous history.

Directions by public transport:
Catch a train to Narara station. The Village is a 2km walk from the Station.
Walk along Deane Street, just west of the station, for 300m. Turn left into Hanlan Street.
Turn right into Fountains Road. At the top of the rise, veer right into Research Road. Walk to the end of the road where you will see the Narara Ecovillage sign and gate.
Directions by car from Sydney:
From the Sydney-Newcastle Freeway, take the Gosford exit.
Follow the Central Coast Highway until West Gosford and then turn left into Manns Road.
Keep going (go past Narara Creek Rd and past Reeves Rd).
Turn left at Carrington Street.
Turn right at Hanlan Road. Turn left at Fountains Road. At the top of the rise, veer right into Research Road.
Follow the road until you see the Narara Ecovillage sign and gate the end of the road.
Drive through the gates and park in the carpark on your right.
