Hempcrete Workshop at Lyndall and Dave's Place - Part 2 @ Narara Ecovillage

Founders Lyndall and Dave invite you to help build their new 7-star energy rating, hempcrete home and get hands-on experience in this innovative natural building process with our 4-day working bee.

You’ll get to:

  • learn how renewable hemp fibre can be utilised for thermal and acoustic insulation to create a healthy home
  • see how timber framing, services and formwork are constructed to receive the hempcrete mix
  • learn how to blend a consistent mix of hemp hurd fibre and lime based binder as a low carbon substitute for concrete

Come for part or all four days. Member’s Homestay accommodation is available (variable cost) as well as onsite camping ($10 per night). Safety equipment will be supplied, but come prepared to get dirty!

Cost: $15 per day (includes tasty lunch and snacks)
