Sustainable House Day returns on Sunday 17 May 2026, with neighbours across Australia opening their doors to share practical, real-world solutions for more comfortable, affordable, and climate-ready homes.
Narara Ecovillage houses are built to high standards of sustainability and have high energy ratings. Building types include natural builds, strawbale, hempcrete, modular, tiny homes and more. We are a demonstration ecovillage and, as well as sustainable building, we aim to nurture a resilient and inclusive intergenerational community that inspires collaboration, innovation and fun.
Three of our homes will be open on May 17th so please register to visit them. When you come, you can take a tour around the village and find out more about us. Our coffee cart will be open for coffee, cake and snacks until 1pm so do come and find out more. You will be very welcome.
