Lot 82 - Our company was formed through the Collaborative Living at Narara (CL@N) initiative. Ensemble82 P/L is a company comprised of 5 likeminded individuals who have purchased land together at the Ecovillage with a view to build a shared home with discrete living areas for each as described below. The purpose is to share membership, land, build costs and levies. Once living onsite, we will also share in the costs of utilities, insurance and rates, and most recently we have been discussing having a shared vehicle when we are all settled at the village. Our aim is not only to achieve comfortable, sustainable, economical housing; but a comfortable, sustainable, economical lifestyle for the long term.

Our architects have helped us to design a house where we can all live in our separate ‘pods’ (approximately 40m2 each) under one roof (designed as one large house). Each pod comprises 1 or 2 bedrooms with an ensuite, living area (with kitchenette) and a private deck. Our house will also include a shared communal area, laundry facilities and storage areas. Lot 82 is elevated with great views and is able to catch the summer breezes.

It has taken over 2 years for us to refine our plans (see below), and we are very proud at what we have achieved! Sadly, one of our shareholders’ circumstances have changed and we wish to offer the opportunity to others who may be interested in joining this innovative project.

To date, we believe this will be the most economical way to live in Narara Ecovillage, without compromising privacy or views. Equally important, we are not just a company, we have become friends, with much love, trust and respect for each other and what NEV stands for.
