Selling and Buying

What do you do if you are selling?

Unlike other charges such as rates and water charges, generally, your solicitor or conveyancing agent will expect you to finalise and close you electricity account with NEV Power.

Please notify NEV Power on on (02) 4328 1588 or email NEV Power on power@nararaecovillage.com as soon as you have agreed a settlement date with the purchaser.

NEV Power will arrange to have you meter read on the day of settlement. You will then receive a invoice to finalise your account.

What do you do if you are buying?

You will need to complete an Energy Contract with NEV Power. This outlines the terms and conditions under which NEV Power provides electricity services to a specific residence within the Narara Ecovillage.

The agreement will remain in effect until either party provides 7 days’ notice of cancellation. The current tariffs for the supply of electricity are outlined in the agreement. NEV Power retains the right to alter these tariffs at any time subject to notice of 30 days.

This agreement applies to each meter. If an occupier or owner elects to have a secondary dwelling separately metered then that secondary dwelling will be subject to its own Energy Agreement.

Important Notice to the Consumer

Under NSW legislation, you have the right to terminate this agreement at any time, subject to notice of 7 days, and elect to receive supply from any other licensed retail electricity supplier within NSW. This right is not altered by the fact that you are an occupier or owner within the Narara Ecovillage.

Please complete and sign the agreement before your agreed settlement date to ensure that you have power available when you move in.
