Visit the Ecovillage
We are open to visitors every month. At our Open Days you can explore our property, experience a snapshot of village life, and learn about our amazing project. In addition, you are welcome to join us in working bees, community dinners, talks or demonstrations. See the calendar of events here
In 2019, we continue to offer our great half-day introductory Open Days.
Visit our beautiful site for an afternoon and learn about the vision for our ecovillage. A short presentation by our founder, Lyndall Parris, or other members, with Q&A will be followed by walking site tours of our property. For safety enclosed shoes are recommended (not thongs or sandals) and please leave your pets at home when you visit the ecovillage.
Cost to attend: Individual $10, Family $20
Dates: 31 March, 27 April, 29 June, 28 July, 25 August, 27 October.
Village Experience Weekend
We are also introducing 4 Village Experience Weekends this year where you can get to know us better.
Come for longer – get to know us better. Enjoy all, or any part, of a program of activities, starting off with a presentation about the ecovillage, Q&A and tours of the site. The extended schedule may also include discussions on community and sustainability, participation in ecovillage projects, shared community meals, visits to houses and simply exploring the site, including the Strickland Forest.
You’re welcome to stay overnight. A limited number of pre-booked campsites are available (or find a place to stay locally and come back on Sunday).
Cost to attend any part of the weekend: Adults $25, kids free, Concessions & NELN members $15 (Camping additional $10pp

Other Events In addition to the monthly Open Days, there are regular events organised by the Narara Eco Living Network, the not-for-profit incorporated Association that acts as the outreach arm of the Narara Ecovillage.
