Sewer

NEV Water has recently rechead agreement with Central Coast Council to connect to their waste treatment services. The civil engineering work necessary to make this connection is currently being designed. we expected to complete the connection in the foreseeable future.

At present waste water is being collected in our holding tanks. We have sufficient storage capacity to manage current flow levels.

It should be noted that wastewater is NOT suitable for drinking purposes.

What precautions are in place to protect the health of workers on-site?

The NEV site has a dual pipe system, which means the non potable water is transported around the site in a separate (purple coloured) pipe system to the drinking water (‘mains water’).

As the non potable water service is completely isolated from the mains water supply, it’s very unlikely you will ever accidentally come into contact with the non potable water.
