Kate, Lara and Casper have joined the village on a shared lot with Elly and are planning to build a small cabin-style house in stage 2.
Passionate about creating a socially and ecologically just world; ecovillage living was something that appealed for connection to community, sharing resources and treading lighter on the earth.
Big outdoor lovers, the family found the surrounding valley bushland and Strickland State Forest brimming with wildlife. “We regularly camp at the village in our van and explore the forest. Last year we had the magical experience of witnessing fireflies!”
“We came to an open day and immediately wanted to know more so we joined CL@N which brought us to Elly our new land-mate. For us, sharing a lot makes the experience both fun and affordable!”.
Custard, the first pet snake of the ecovillage, is Casper’s treasured ‘children’s python’. Custard and Casper are excited to settle into village life, hoping to befriend the local Diamond Pythons.
Activist power couple, Lara (drag king/resourceful minimalist) and Kate (op-shopper/prepper) add to the unique personalities of the ecovillage. Proud members of the queer community, they hope to bring more celebration of diversity and colour to the village when they move in!
