As government guidelines allow, we would like to welcome visitors to our Ecovillage again. Some events will continue to be held online, however this month, we will offer site tours with limited numbers for our Open Day as well as Personal Tours by appointment. See details below.
Best wishes for staying healthy over the next while,
the Narara Ecovillage Community.
Join our 5-day natural building workshop at Narara Ecovillage, led by building designer Will Eastlake, and help finish Linda’s hobbit inspired art studio (1st DA approved earthbag structure in NSW) that’s creating such a buzz! This underground creation will feature a green roof, earthen floor and classic round door and windows. Stairs carpentered from local timber and branches leads from the mezzanine sleeping nook to the lower level earth floor workshop space.
Will, of Integrated Biotecture, designed the 3-part dwelling. The sculptural studio will be attached to an octagon strawbale house through the earthship inspired greenhouse,
You’ll learn about mud floors, wattle & daub and light straw wall-creation and rendering alongside like-minded people who like you appreciate the magic, beauty and benefits of natural building.
Morning tea and a delicious vegetarian/vegan lunch is provided (let us know your dietary preferences). There will be opportunities to tour the village and learn about other natural and sustainable dwellings that have been already been completed. Bring own gloves and safety glasses if possible, water bottle, sunscreen and hat.
Come and join the fun over the October long weekend, get down and dirty in the fresh air, and contribute your energy to a landmark building at Narara Ecovillage. Register for 5 days @$120 or a daily rate @$25. Camping is available at the ecovillage as well as other local accommodation options, by request.
Contact host Linda: email@example.com to register or for further information.
