Open Day – April

Visit our beautiful site and learn about the vision for our Ecovillage. A short presentation by our founder, Lyndall Parris, or other members, with Q&A will follow a walking site tour of our rural property.

Tea/coffee, water, and a seasonal fruit platter will be available. Please feel free to bring along your own lunch or afternoon tea to enjoy. Kids will love our adventure playground!

Cost to attend: Individual $10, Family $20

Autumn Open Weekend
May 25 @ 9:30 am – May 26 @ 3:00 pm

At our next Open Weekend we’ll celebrate Autumn in all it’s colours and textures – from misty mornings with Ben and the Steamweeder demonstration, to the lush green Food Forest working bee and sharing pumpkin soup by the campfire.

The weekend starts on Saturday at 10am with the regular Open Day program including presentation, ecovillage tours and Q&A.

Stay on and join us from 1pm for the full Open Weekend:
a 2-day experience of Narara Ecovillage, where you can really get to know our people, place and purpose. We offer refreshments on Saturday morning – thereafter everyone brings and shares food.

Activities will include:

Lantern Making
Building Beautification
Steamweeding Demo
Shared Pumpkin Soup Cook-up
Triple Span Planting Bee
Bonfire and Lantern Parade
Food Forest Creation
and more…

On Sunday, ‘Small Footprint’ living will take centre stage with talks, walks across Stage 2 land and visits to our two tiny houses.

Cost:

Open Day only: $10 individual / $20 family
Extended stay (Sat pm to Sun pm): $10 individual / $20 family
Discounts for NELN members and concessions

Registration:

Online or in person on Saturday at 10 am and/or at lunchtime.

Overnight Camping:

on site with camp kitchen and amenities
$10pp by advanced bookings

Then spend the afternoon participating in one of our village activities, maintenance or construction projects, picnicking on our beautiful site, and chatting with Ecovillage members (many of whom have unique skills and experience in everything from permaculture to natural construction, animal husbandry to tool libraries and wellbeing). Your children will love exploring our natural playground, and are most welcome to participate in our activities too.
